Job Description

Provide nursing care in an outpatient infusion setting.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
  • Minimum of 1 year of infusion experience, with infusion experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Orientation and Facility Specifics

  • Orientation includes exams such as Pharmacology, Point of Care Testing, and Airborne Precaution Mask Fitting (not pass/fail).
  • Assigned learning modules (~6 hours) must be completed by end of orientation week.
  • Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service.
  • Confidentiality agreement and HIPAA acknowledgment required prior to start.

Additional Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
  • Fingerprinting and CPS (Central Registry) documentation are time-sensitive and must be completed promptly as per state regulations, especially for Pediatrics, NICU, Behavioral Health, and Labor & Delivery units.
  • Candidates may start with some background or fingerprinting results pending if proof of submission is on file.
  • No onsite certification renewals; renewals must be scheduled before contract start.
