Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule & Work Details

• Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (Monday-Thursday)
• No on-call required
• Holiday: Must be available to work or take call for one holiday per 13-week contract (rotational)
• Floating: May be required to float to a nearby location approximately half a mile away
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Local candidates not accepted (radius restrictions apply)

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Virginia
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT(R) certification
• ARRT(CT) certification
• Siemens CT scanner experience
• Radiation safety knowledge
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Experience

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated (assume standard for CT Tech role)
• Prior travel experience: Not accepted (first-time travelers not accepted)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• I-9 or attestation
• Valid Driver’s License/State ID with address within allowed radius
• E-Verify or attestation
• 7-year background check (covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification of highest earned degree
• Physical exam within 1 year, free from communicable diseases
• Fit test within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Drug screen (10 panel) within 30 days of start
• Required immunizations or positive titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Flu vaccination or mask and declination form during flu season
• Professional photo for badge
• Completion of new hire paperwork and orientation materials prior to start
• References: 2 clinical references required
• Skills checklist updated annually

Additional Notes

• Radiation badge must be supplied by the facility (not provided by agency for new candidates)
• Must comply with facility-specific policies and documentation deadlines
• No call-off policy: facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with Siemens and Epic experience who hold an active Virginia license and are able to commit to a 13-week travel contract with a Monday-Thursday 4x10 schedule. First-time travelers and local candidates outside the allowed radius are not eligible.
