Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - ER
Location: Midland, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
- Start date within the next 3-5 weeks
- Minimum 2 years of experience required in Emergency Room (ER) or equivalent size facility
- Certifications required or must be willing to obtain if offered:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Current certifications or willingness to obtain:
- ACLS
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- National Tech Certification Verification
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- Immunizations/vaccinations required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or agency declination (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- N95 Fit Test within 1 year (PAPR not accepted)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
Compliance & Documentation
- Government-issued photo ID required
- I9 or attestation required
- E-Verify or attestation required
- Confidentiality and security agreements to be signed prior to start
- Facility-specific orientation and compliance forms must be completed before starting
- References: 2 required within 3 years of start
- Resume or employment application copy required
Additional Notes
- Background checks and verifications must be current and renewed as required
- Competency exams and certifications must meet facility standards
- Candidate must be prepared to complete all required documentation and health screenings within specified timeframes
