Job Description

• Start date within the next 3-5 weeks
• Minimum 2 years of experience required in Emergency Room (ER) or equivalent size facility
• Certifications required or must be willing to obtain if offered:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Current certifications or willingness to obtain:

  • ACLS
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• National Tech Certification Verification
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
• Immunizations/vaccinations required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or agency declination (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• N95 Fit Test within 1 year (PAPR not accepted)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start

Compliance & Documentation

• Government-issued photo ID required
• I9 or attestation required
• E-Verify or attestation required
• Confidentiality and security agreements to be signed prior to start
• Facility-specific orientation and compliance forms must be completed before starting
• References: 2 required within 3 years of start
• Resume or employment application copy required

• Background checks and verifications must be current and renewed as required
• Competency exams and certifications must meet facility standards
• Candidate must be prepared to complete all required documentation and health screenings within specified timeframes
