Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Oncology Clinic

Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Registered Nurse position covering breast medical oncology.
  • Must be ONCC chemotherapy certified.
  • Oncology clinic experience preferred.
  • Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
  • Minimum of 1 year oncology experience, with oncology experience within the last year.
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
  • ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) or ONCC (Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation) certification.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (Oncology)
  • Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; oncology clinic experience preferred.

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certified.
  • ONCC chemotherapy certification mandatory.

    • TB testing and questionnaire
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or immunity proof

    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
  • Drug screening per standard clinical requirements.

Additional Compliance & Testing

  • Telemetry testing and competency exams as applicable.
  • Medication/pharmacology competency exams as required.
  • Facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgments.
  • Annual skills checklist and employment application required.
  • Wisconsin BID form and caregiver screening mandatory prior to start.
