Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Job Description
- Work in Intermediate Care (IMC) Acute Med/Progressive Care and IMC Thoracic units.
- Shifts: Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required.
- Experience required in ICU or IMC and surgical post-op care.
- If ICU experience, must be willing to work with IMC or general care patient populations.
- Thoracic experience is preferred.
- Must pass a Telemetry test prior to starting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in the IMC specialty within the last 3 years.
- At least 1 year of Intermediate Care experience, including experience within the last year.
- ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience.
- Experience in an inpatient setting.
- Surgical post-op experience.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Additional Requirements & Compliance
- Background checks including criminal history, employment, and education verifications.
- Wisconsin state-mandated caregiver screening and BID form completion.
- Drug screening per standard clinical requirements.
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TB testing and questionnaire
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or exemption
- Varicella vaccination or exemption
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination form
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
- Other vaccines as applicable (e.g., Tdap, Meningococcal for specific departments)
- Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable.
- Facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgments.
- Photo for badge required (passport-style, no headwear except for religious/medical reasons).
Experience
- ICU or IMC experience required (minimum years not explicitly stated; assume at least 1+ year based on specialty).
- Surgical post-op experience required.
- Thoracic experience preferred but not mandatory.
- No explicit prior travel experience required.
Work Schedule
- 12-hour shifts, day and evening.
- Monday through Friday.
- Every other weekend and some holidays required.
