Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must have 2 years of pediatric cath/EP experience (pediatric catheterization/electrophysiology).
• Floating is not required.
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
• On-call required with ability to be on-site within 2 hours of call.
• Typical caseload: approximately 4 cases per day.
• Recent experience required: minimum 2 years.
• Must have pediatric cath experience (deal breaker).

Required Qualifications

• Cath Lab Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year.
• Experience working with pediatric patients.
• Experience as an Electrophysiology Technician.

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 30 days of start, including latex allergy information.
• Fit mask test (N95 or PAPR) within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) with titers or vaccines
  • Hepatitis B series and antibody titer or declination form
  • Varicella vaccine or titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
  • COVID vaccine or declination for tracking purposes
• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (including marijuana).

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references dated within the past two years (preferably supervisors/managers).
• Employment application and skills checklist required prior to start.
• Photo for badge must be submitted immediately after signing.
• Completion of facility-specific training modules prior to start (including COVID-19 vaccine training and emergency management).
• Time-off requests must be submitted with application; no time-off approved after offer.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Ability to be on-site within 2 hours for on-call shifts is mandatory.
