Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech
Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Must have 2 years of pediatric cath/EP experience (pediatric catheterization/electrophysiology).
- Floating is not required.
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
- On-call required with ability to be on-site within 2 hours of call.
- Typical caseload: approximately 4 cases per day.
- Recent experience required: minimum 2 years.
- Must have pediatric cath experience (deal breaker).
Required Qualifications
- Cath Lab Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year.
- Experience working with pediatric patients.
- Experience as an Electrophysiology Technician.
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 30 days of start, including latex allergy information.
- Fit mask test (N95 or PAPR) within 1 year of start, updated annually.
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) with titers or vaccines
- Hepatitis B series and antibody titer or declination form
- Varicella vaccine or titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
- COVID vaccine or declination for tracking purposes
- 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (including marijuana).
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references dated within the past two years (preferably supervisors/managers).
- Employment application and skills checklist required prior to start.
- Photo for badge must be submitted immediately after signing.
- Completion of facility-specific training modules prior to start (including COVID-19 vaccine training and emergency management).
- Time-off requests must be submitted with application; no time-off approved after offer.
Notes
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
- Ability to be on-site within 2 hours for on-call shifts is mandatory.
