Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Job Details

• Work schedule: 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• No on-call duties
• Minimum 2 years of experience required in Radiology/Cardiology specialty
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC system experience required
• Experience with Siemens equipment required
• Hunter Green scrubs are not provided

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• ARRT (R) (CT) certification required
• State license valid for South Carolina (Primary source verification required, no pending actions)

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (R) (CT) certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic electronic health record system

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work (I-9, Driver’s License/State ID)
• Background check within 12 months, including 7-year history and alias searches
• Drug screening within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (if working in high-risk areas)
  • Flu vaccine or approved exemption for the current season
  • Documentation for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B as applicable
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands
• Respirator fit test to be completed onsite during orientation
• Completion of required online orientation modules and pre-assignment testing within 72 hours of assignment
• Compliance with facility-specific policies including floating policy and contractor acknowledgment

Additional Information

• Candidates must carry valid ID while on duty
• Candidates must complete required competency exams and pass with minimum scores as specified
• Medication and arrhythmia testing required for RNs working in certain units (not applicable for CT Tech)
• Annual training and competency exams required, including Core Parts I, II, and III covering safety, ethics, and patient care
• Badge photo required prior to start (passport-style, plain background)

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required

This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with strong EPIC and Siemens equipment experience, seeking a weekend travel contract in South Carolina.
