Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - NICU
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Schedule Notes:
- 3 weekends required during the 6-week scheduling period
- Every other holiday scheduled
- Maximum 40 hours approved for time off; no time off approved during the first two weeks of assignment
Job Description
Provide clinical care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting. This role requires specialized certification related to infant feeding and neonatal resuscitation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Minimum 1 year of recent NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- NIHSS certification
- Infant-Driven Feeding Advancing Oral Feeding Practice in the NICU certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this assignment.
- Time off requests are limited and cannot be approved during the first two weeks.
- Candidates must be prepared to work some weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Documentation and compliance with all background checks, certifications, and health requirements are mandatory prior to start.
