Description

Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech

Location: Stockbridge, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 20 weeks

Job Summary

Work setting: Operating Room (busy OR)
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Patient Population: Neonates to Geriatrics
Weekends: Every other weekend
Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
Holidays: Must work major holidays during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
Orientation hours vary based on contract length

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist or X-Ray Technician, including experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel assignment
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background check required within 30 days of start, including education verification
Physical exam within 12 months of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (with additional requirements if history of positive TB)
Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (titer or signed declination)
- Tdap (highly recommended)
- Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season
Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
Annual renewal of certain verifications and certifications as applicable
Color blindness test required
Skills checklist and work history verification required

Additional Information

Must comply fully to start on time; delays in compliance may result in assignment start delays
Locals accepted at same rate
Dress code: Pewter Gray/Black scrub color
Use of PACS and Epic systems required
Call requirements not specified

This position is ideal for experienced X-Ray Technologists with a strong background in Radiology/Cardiology who have prior travel contract experience and are comfortable working in a fast-paced operating room environment across a broad patient age range.
