Job Description

• Provide nursing care in outpatient surgery settings
• Responsibilities include preoperative care and phase 2 recovery
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri (permanent license required; temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in outpatient surgery, with outpatient surgery experience within the last year
• Current certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• National Tech Certification verification required within 30 days of start
• Acknowledgement of pass/fail competency testing including EKG and medication skills (including EPIC skills check) administered onsite
• State License 1 Verification and NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in an outpatient setting

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Mask fit test within 12 months of start (specific mask models required)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for certain placements)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
  • TB questionnaire updated annually
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: positive titer or vaccination series required
  • Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer, or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season or approved exemption documentation

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references required
• Annual skills checklist required
• Completion of facility-specific e-learning within 3-5 days of assignment start
• Clear, passport-style photo for badge issuance

• Candidates must pass onsite competency exams with up to two attempts
