Description

Registered Nurse - NICU

Location: Joplin, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week
Weekend Hours: Typically every other weekend, as required by facility
Call Requirements: As required by facility


Unit Information

  • Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Level III
  • Number of Beds: 16
  • Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:2 or 1:3 (estimates, not guaranteed)
  • Equipment: Primarily GE equipment
  • EMR System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Level III or higher NICU, including neonatal intensive care within the last year
  • At least 2 years of experience with bubble CPAP, high flow oxygen therapy, and high-risk deliveries
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • NIHSS certification (preferred)
  • Good team player with optimism, kindness, and initiative

Additional Information

  • Float Requirements: May be required to float to mother/baby and pediatrics units
  • Dress Code: Black scrubs only; no t-shirts with writing except approved attire
  • Personality Fit: Positive attitude, strong teamwork, and proactive approach
