Description

Cath Lab Technologist

Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work in Cath Lab and Hybrid OR procedures including interventional cardiology, STEMI, peripherals, and device implants.
Required to scrub and circulate/monitor cases.
Typical shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week.
Approximately 10-11 call shifts per month.
Cover cath lab and hybrid OR procedures.
May float to Non-Invasive Cardiovascular to start IVs.
Cases involve adult cardiac patients (peripheral, catheterization, PCI, devices). No electrophysiology ablations.
Average cases per day: 4-5 (range 2-9).
Work with a 3-person team (2 RNs and 1 tech).
Weekend and holiday coverage required (call shifts).
Orientation includes 2 shifts with a preceptor plus a "buddy call" period.

Required Qualifications

Cath Lab Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
Cath Lab Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification
ARRT (R) certification
Familiarity with ACIST injector
Experience with IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
Experience with IVUS (Intravascular Ultrasound)
Cath Lab Technologist experience

Additional Information

Call shifts typically Monday-Friday 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
Scrubs provided (Burgundy for Rad Techs).
Use of EMR system "Cupid" and equipment including Phillips bedside monitors.
Cardiologists on call 24/7.
Pharmacy support available 24/7 with some medication mixing done in lab.
Must disclose any license issues at time of submission.

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
Driver’s license address must be outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
Previous permanent or travel candidates must meet specific time gap requirements before reapplying.
