Job Opportunity: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Nights)
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
- Floating: May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Local Radius Rule: 75 miles
- Pending License Accepted: Yes

Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Licensure
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license for Missouri (pending licenses accepted)
- Primary source verification of professional license required (NURSYS verification for Missouri licenses)
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
- Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Education verification of highest nursing degree required
- State-specific searches and registries as applicable
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, including a comprehensive panel
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within required timeframes
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- Various facility-specific compliance documents including HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality, hand hygiene, dress code, and others must be completed prior to start
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
- Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists required and must be updated annually
- Employment application must be submitted and uploaded for facility review
- Orientation modules required for all RNs, completed through an online platform, approximately 16 hours
