Description

Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)


Job Summary

Perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans for diagnostic purposes, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to provide accurate imaging results for patient diagnosis and treatment. This role involves direct patient care.


Work Schedule

  • Rotating shifts including Tuesday, Friday, Saturday (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM)
  • Sunday, Tuesday, Friday (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM)

Essential Functions

  • Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and protocols.
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and immobilization to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
  • Review and verify patient information, including medical history and prior imaging studies.
  • Operate and calibrate CT equipment, maintaining safety standards.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and address concerns.
  • Collaborate with radiologists for accurate image interpretation and follow-up imaging requests.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient data, and imaging results.
  • Adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Massachusetts
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist
  • Recent CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or an Associate's degree in a related field of study

Health and Compliance Requirements

  • Documentation of immunity or vaccination for MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) required.
  • TB test documentation within 3 months of start date required; updated if break >6 months.
  • Physician health statement within 1 year of start date required; updated if break >6 months.
  • Fit testing for N95 respirator within 1 year of start date required; updated annually.
  • Respirator Medical Clearance attestation required if fit test is required.
  • Criminal background checks, including state and national registries, required prior to start.
  • Verification of education, licenses, and certifications required.
  • Submission of references and skills checklist required.

Additional Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
  • This role requires direct patient care.
