CT Tech

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs CT procedures and patient care requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to obtain optimal image quality and exceptional service. Responsible for all aspects of CT imaging procedures, including anatomical positioning and physiology, with independent selection and modification of technical factors to produce optimum CT scans while prioritizing patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort.


Work Details

  • Department: Radiology
  • Shift: Nights, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Weekend Hours: None
  • Equipment: GE Revolution (256 slices) newest platform and Siemens CT scanners
  • EMR System: EPIC
  • Dress Code: Black scrubs

Patient Population & Unit Information

  • Working in an Emergency Department setting
  • Patient types include trauma, stroke, CT angiography (CTA), and perfusion cases

Required Qualifications

  • CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
  • Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA) certification
  • ARRT (CT) certification
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting
  • Minimum of 1+ years working in an Emergency Department (ED) setting
  • Minimum of 1+ years of trauma experience
  • Minimum of 1+ years of stroke experience
  • Minimum of 1+ years of CT angiography (CTA) experience
  • Minimum of 1+ years of perfusion experience, including perfusionist experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of CTA and perfusion preferred

Additional Information

  • Flu vaccination required for all travelers (exemptions must be client approved)
  • Must be able to work with fast-paced emergency department environment
  • Must be able to work independently with sound judgment and initiative

Summary

This travel CT Tech position offers an opportunity to work nights in a busy emergency department environment using advanced CT technology. The role requires a minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, ARRT certification, and a Missouri license. Strong patient care skills, ability to handle emergency situations, and effective communication are essential.
