Description

CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location: Meridian, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Department

  • Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography)
  • 2 Siemens CT scanners
  • No floating or coverage of other areas required
  • Imaging performed: neuro, body, musculoskeletal (MSK), angiography, interventional, cardiac

Schedule

  • 3 shifts of 12 hours each (3-12s)
  • Staggered start times between 7-8 AM for days and nights
  • Schedule created 8 weeks in advance by supervisors
  • May be asked to cover weekends occasionally (no specific weekend requirement)
  • May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
  • No call or standby requirements

Orientation

  • 1-2 weeks of unit/department-specific orientation with a preceptor
  • Orientation shifts: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 7 PM to 7:30 AM

Equipment & Systems

  • Siemens CT scanners (Force and Def AS models)
  • EMR system: EPIC
  • PACS system: Change Healthcare

Staffing & Support

  • Radiology supervisor and designated lead tech on each shift
  • Radiologist available in-house during daytime at another campus in the afternoon
  • No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) on staff

Job Duties & Requirements

  • Must have IV start experience
  • Average of 100 scans/studies per day
  • Scrub color flexible; scrubs provided if desired

Required Qualifications

  • BLS Certification
  • Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT)
  • Prefer 2 years of CT experience (first-time travelers accepted)
  • Prior travel experience not required

This position offers a structured schedule with comprehensive orientation and support, ideal for CT technologists with ARRT certification seeking a 13-week contract in a busy radiology department.
