Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Beaufort, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Requires 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience (higher experience requirement confirmed).
Experience in stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) required; Medical-Surgical nurses will float to PCU as needed.
Patient ratios: 1:5 or 1:6.
First-time travelers accepted.
Must have a South Carolina nursing license.
Shift schedule includes weekdays, every other weekend, float shifts, and holidays as needed.
Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.

Required Certifications

BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina.
Minimum of 2 years Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS).
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
