Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts (06:30 AM - 05:00 PM)
• Responsibilities include:

  • Interventional Cath procedures
  • Cardiac Stent Placement
  • Scrubbing in procedures
  • Right & Left Heart catheterization
  • Use of Rotablader, Thrombectomy, Stents, PCI, PTCA, Balloon Angioplasty
• Preferred skills: Cerner, Acute Monitoring, Room Circulator, ACIST, Watchman Procedures, Impella insertion, TAVI/TAVR
• Call Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 weeknight call shifts (Monday-Friday)
  • One 24-hour weekend call shift per month
• Must be able to function efficiently in a high-paced environment and be a team player
• Scrubs provided
• Flu vaccine required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Tech
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• If holding ARRT certification, Maryland State License is required

Additional Requirements

• Criminal background check within 90 days of start
• Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
• Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
• N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually (may be completed onsite if needed)
• Immunizations and documentation required:

  • Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (strict guidelines apply)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap preferred within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Documentation of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
• Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
• Skills checklist and competency exams required prior to start and updated annually

Notes

• Call shifts and weekend coverage are mandatory
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Scrubs are provided for the assignment
• Flu vaccination is mandatory unless approved exemption is granted

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Techs with prior travel experience seeking a 13-week travel contract in Maryland.
