Registered Nurse - NICU

Location: Joplin, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Shift: Days, 3x12 hour shifts (0700 - 1900), 36 hours per week
• Number of Openings: 1
• Weekend Hours: Typically every other weekend, as required
• Call Requirements: As required by facility
• Unit Size: 16-bed Level III NICU
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:2 or 1:3 (estimates, not guaranteed)
• EMR System: EPIC
• Equipment: Primarily GE equipment

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), including experience within the last year
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Experience working with high-risk patients, including high-risk deliveries
• Experience with bubble CPAP and high flow respiratory support

Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS certification (preferred)
• Good team player with optimism, kindness, and strong initiative

This role requires a highly skilled NICU RN with strong clinical experience in a Level III NICU setting, capable of managing complex neonatal patients and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
