Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in a very fast-paced Emergency Department environment.
- Use Siemens and GE scanners; experience with Siemens scanners is mandatory.
- Perform CT procedures including Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Brain Perfusion, CTAs, and Multiplanar Reconstruction.
- Patient population includes infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Typical daily caseload: 150-200 scans across 4 rooms.
- Shift: 10-hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday (9:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- No call, floating, or weekend requirements.
- Team size varies by shift (4-5 techs first shift, fewer on later shifts).
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working in hospitals with more than 500 beds
- Experience in inpatient, Emergency Room (ER), and adult ICU settings
- Certifications required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (R) (Radiologic Technologist)
- ARRT (CT) (Computed Tomography)
- Experience with GE Healthcare and Siemens CT scanners
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with outpatient settings.
- Skills in IV starts, contrast administration, and Visage software.
Patient Diagnoses
- Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics.
Equipment & Systems
- Siemens and GE CT scanners.
- EPIC electronic health record system.
- Visage imaging software.
Additional Information
- Strict policy: No Return to Origin (RTO) after booking; call-offs or additional RTO may lead to cancellation.
- Scrubs color: Royal Blue.
- Interview required prior to offer.
- Background checks and various compliance requirements must be met prior to start.
- Physical exam, immunizations, drug testing, and fit testing required as per healthcare standards.
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season.
- Radiation badge required for CT Techs.
- Competency exams and certifications must be current and verified.
Compliance & Onboarding Requirements (Summary)
- Background checks including criminal, education, and state-specific registry searches.
- Health documents: Physical exam, TB testing, immunizations (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B), drug screening.
- Fit testing for N95 mask or PAPR training.
- Annual compliance and medication safety training.
- Facility-specific orientation and confidentiality agreements.
- Proof of certifications and licenses.
- References and employment history documentation.
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with solid hospital experience, especially those comfortable in a high-volume emergency setting using Siemens scanners. Prior travel experience is not mandatory, making it accessible for first-time travel healthcare professionals.
