Location: Steamboat Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Seeking a dual modality CT Tech / X-Ray Tech comfortable working independently in a Level III regional hospital setting. The role involves working with CT and X-Ray equipment, including Siemens and GE systems, and may require occasional work in the OR with C-Arm equipment.

Schedule

• 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
• Shift times vary by day:

  • Wednesday, Thursday: 2200-0730
  • Friday: 2100-0730
  • Saturday, Sunday: 1900-0730
  • Monday, Tuesday: 2100-0730
• 6-hour shift every other week as float
• On-call required every 5th or 6th weekend (staffing dependent)
• Weekend work required as per unit needs
• Return to Office (RTO) days max: 10 days, with blackout periods in March, May, and June/July 2026

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• X-Ray Technician experience

Special Notes

• Candidates must be pre-closed on housing prior to submission due to high local cost of living
• CT and X-Ray skills checklist required for submission
• Multi-modality tech comfortable working independently and in OR settings

Required Documentation & Compliance

• I9 or attestation
• Driver’s License/State ID (clear copies front/back)
• E-Verify or attestation
• Proof of name change if applicable
• 7-year background check including SSN trace, Colorado state checks, education verification, and other standard screenings
• Education verification or transcript/diploma
• Various certifications depending on specialty and unit requirements (e.g., ACLS, BLS)
• Physical exam within 1 year, signed by MD, DO, NP, or PA
• Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually
• Immunizations and titers: TDAP, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Drug testing within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Color blind exam (Ishihara test) required prior to start
• COVID vaccine documentation or signed declination

Experience & References

• First-time travelers accepted
• No explicit prior travel experience required
• Two professional references from the last two years required, including one from employment within the last year (charge RN, manager, supervisor, or above)
• Employment history verification for the last 3 years required, with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Additional Information

• Candidates must confirm renewal plans for any certifications expiring within 90 days of start
• Facility-specific orientation and compliance training required within first two weeks of assignment
