Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

Job Details
- Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM
- Average Daily Census: 20-28 patients
- Rooms: 17
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call Requirement: Yes, after shift until 6:30 AM possible on weekends; response time 45 minutes. Approximately 5-6 call shifts in a 6-week period, averaging one 12-hour weekday call shift and one weekend shift per 6-week schedule.
- Floating: May float within scope to meet unit needs based on skill set.
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated.
- Local Radius Rule: No local candidates accepted within 75 miles.
- Pending License: Accepted.
- Return to Office Restrictions: No more than 7 days.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week.
Required Experience & Skills
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year.
- Experience in ENT Surgery.
- Experience in Neurosurgery.
- Experience in Transplant Surgery.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Required Certifications & Licenses
- License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Missouri (pending licenses accepted).
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on unit (check unit specifics).
- Other certifications may be required based on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC) - verify with unit.
Compliance & Background Requirements
- Government-issued ID required.
- Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches.
- Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks.
- Education verification of highest nursing degree required.
- State-specific background checks and registries as applicable.
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, including a comprehensive panel.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start.
- Fit mask testing required and must be renewed annually.
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- Facility-specific compliance documents including HIPAA, confidentiality, hand hygiene, dress code, and latex allergy questionnaire must be reviewed and signed prior to start.

- Parking is available but not reimbursed; fees vary by location and shift.
- Scrubs and charting system (EPIC) provided.
- References: Two professional references required, preferably supervisors within the last year.
- Skills checklist and unit-specific competency exams required and must be updated annually.
- On-call shifts may require working after midnight with rest accommodations.
Summary
This is a 13-week travel contract for an experienced Registered Nurse in the Operating Room with specialized skills in Neuro, Spine, ENT, and abdominal organ transplant surgeries. The position requires flexibility for on-call shifts, weekend work, and floating within the unit. Compliance with extensive background checks, certifications, and health requirements is mandatory. First-time travelers are accepted only with relevant specialty experience.
