Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a CT Tech with a minimum of 1 year of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. The role involves working with patient populations ranging from adolescents to geriatrics, with neonates and pediatrics being rare.
Work Setting
- Inpatient and outpatient settings
- Possible floating to a nearby sister campus (approximately 3 miles away)
- Weekends depend on the shift posted
- No call requirements
- Expected to work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period (up to two holidays required)
- Return to office (RTO) within a maximum of 7 days
Required Skills
- IV starts
- PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
- Contrast administration skills
- Experience with unit systems such as Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR
Required Certifications and Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- State license as applicable for Radiology Techs (Georgia license required)
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Proficient with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Compliance and Onboarding
- Full compliance with documentation and credentialing required to start on time
- Background check must be completed prior to start
- Education verification required (can be pending at start with proof it is in process)
- Physical exam within 12 months of start required
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months required
- Drug screening (10-panel) within 60 days of start required
- Annual flu vaccination or declination required during flu season
- Other immunizations/vaccinations required or verified: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap (highly recommended)
- Color blindness test required
- Competency exams including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exams required
Additional Requirements
- Skills checklist updated within the last 12 months
- Verification of most recent work history required (can be pending at start with proof it is in process)
- Two clinical references required
Notes
- Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
- Floating may be required to a nearby campus
- Orientation hours depend on contract length
- Candidate will undergo a clinical screening to determine fit before final approval
