Description
Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Newnan, Georgia
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 12 weeks
- Schedule:
- 6 weeks of 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Followed by 1 week of 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Then back to 4x10-hour days
- This rotation provides a 4-day weekend every 6 weeks
- Call Requirements:
- 12-14 call days per 6-week period
- 1-2 weekends on call per 6-week period
- Must remain within 30 minutes of the facility while on call
- Floating: May be required to float within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- Weekend Work: Included in call requirements
- Holidays:
- Expected to work major holidays during assignment
- If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, must work it
- If 2 major holidays fall, must work both
- If 3 major holidays fall, must work 2 of them
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
- Recent Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start; includes criminal, sex offender, education verification, and other standard checks
- Education Verification: Degree verification required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
- Physical Exam: Required within 12 months prior to start
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start; instant drug screen acceptable; cannot start with results pending
- Immunizations & Health:
- TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSpot) within 12 months; if positive, additional documentation required
- TB Questionnaire required annually regardless of TB status
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters allowed to pend if not yet eligible
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters allowed to pend if not yet eligible
- Hepatitis B: Surface antibody titer or signed declination required
- Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
- TDAP highly recommended but not required
- References: Two clinical references required
- Skills Checklist: Must be current within 12 months
- Work History Verification: Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
Additional Notes
- Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time; non-compliance may delay start by 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling
- Orientation hours vary based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- Candidates must review and sign facility-specific policies including Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
