Job Opportunity: Cardiac Tele Registered Nurse

Job Description

• Work on a busy cardiac, surgical, and telemetry floor.
• May float to other medical-surgical/telemetry units or low-acuity ICU as needed.
• Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 to 7:15).
• Requires recent Epic experience (within the last 12 months), which must be documented in the application profile.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience, with telemetry experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during work hours.
• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, including international if applicable.
• Employment verification and references: proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations required.
• Complete employment application/resume required.
• Skills checklist as applicable to specialty.
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands.
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year or clear chest X-ray if prior positive. Annual TB questionnaire required.
• Immunizations/vaccinations required:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; booster if low/equivocal titers.
  • Hepatitis B: titer or series; booster if low/equivocal titers.
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; booster if low/equivocal titers.
• Drug screening: negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted).
• N95 fit test within 1 year, updated annually; no PAPR allowed. Failure to pass results in contract cancellation.
• EPIC test-out required prior to or shortly after start; only one attempt allowed.

Additional Notes

• Candidates may be required to sign appearance standards and orientation safety manual acknowledgments.
• Flu vaccine deadline for working candidates is October 30; vaccine offered onsite free of charge.
• Facility allows starting with EPIC pending but requires completion onsite.
• Contract cancellation occurs if EPIC test is not passed or if required health and background documentation is incomplete.

This position is ideal for experienced cardiac telemetry RNs comfortable with a fast-paced environment and flexible to float within related units.
