Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Manning, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

• Assess patient needs using history, observation, physical exam, and diagnostic data.
• Provide age-specific nursing interventions aligned with the plan of care and standards of practice.
• Foster a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors.
• Use appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
• Follow Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators and standard work practices.
• Precept and mentor novice employees.
• Participate in hospital initiatives promoting Evidence Based Practices.
• Engage in professional growth through goal setting and educational opportunities.
• Float to assist other similar units as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
