Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room

Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (36 hours per week, every other week rotation)

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department (ED) and manage inpatient hold patients.
• Must be able to handle ED and inpatient hold RN ratios and acuity.

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

• Valid RN license in Connecticut.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.

Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience.
• ED nursing experience must be within the last year.

Additional Notes

• License and certification verifications must be dated within 30 days of start.
• All required documents and certifications must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
• This role requires working every other week on a 12.5-hour shift covering both ED and inpatient hold patients.

This position is suitable for experienced Emergency Room RNs who are comfortable managing high acuity patients in both emergency and inpatient hold settings during extended day shifts.
