Job Summary

• Position: Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology / Cath Lab
• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, and Special Procedures settings
• Experience with Hybrid Cath Lab and Specials RN duties including diagnostic Cath, PCI, Peripheral Vascular, PPM Implants, and Interventional Radiology Procedures
• Must be experienced with On-Call procedures involving Impella, IABP, EKOS, CSI, Jetstream, Laser, and Shockwave devices
• Prior travel experience is not required (first-timers accepted)
• Floating outside of scope to meet facility needs is not required

Required Certifications

• ACLS (American Heart Association only; RQI accepted)
• BLS (American Heart Association only; RQI accepted)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions accepted)

Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse license in Florida (pending licenses not accepted)
• Primary source verification of license required
• NURSYS verification required for all RNs

On-Call Requirement

• On-call availability is required
• Guaranteed hours apply after the first call off per pay period

Special Requirements

• Experience with Cerner EMR system
• Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath lab, Interventional Radiology, and Special Procedures work setting experience required

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 1 year of start date, including 7 years of residence/work/school history, sex offender, education verification, and nationwide checks
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Foreign equivalency evaluation required if education was completed outside the US or Puerto Rico
• Education verification required for all healthcare professionals
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprinting clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting)
• Drug testing: Standard 9-panel within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
• Physical exam within 6 months of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 10 weeks of start; chest X-ray and TB questionnaire if prior positive PPD
• Annual TB questionnaire required in lieu of annual TB test
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (boosters required for low/equivocal titers)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination required (masking required if declined)
• Respirator medical clearance annually if respirator use is required

Competency & Testing Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (score ≥ 80%) as applicable
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam with 100% lethal arrhythmia score required for RN in Cath Lab and related units
• Color blind testing (Relias Color Blind Exam) required prior to start
• Stroke education CEUs and NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification may be required for some units (not specified for this role)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Professional photo for badge required prior to start (clear, solid background, no filters)
• Completion of facility-specific dress code and tobacco policy acknowledgment
• Completion of mandatory online account registration and training modules prior to start (approx. 4-8 hours)
• Fit mask acknowledgment required

Documentation & History

• Two professional references from within the past 2 years required
• Employment application and skills checklist must be uploaded and available for facility review

Additional Notes

• Locals are not accepted for this travel assignment
• No Return to Origin (RTO) restrictions in contract; if applicable, RTO may be discussed during interview
• Candidates must maintain a valid driver’s license throughout the assignment

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
• Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab
• On-call experience
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
