Description

Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Aurora, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Interventional Radiology Tech)
  • Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (typically 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, occasional 7:00 AM start)
  • Days: Monday through Friday with weekend on-call rotation every 4-6 weeks
  • On-call Requirements:
    • Weeknight call once per week (6:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
    • Weekend call from Friday 6:00 PM to Monday 7:30 AM
  • Work Environment:
    • Fast-paced, high-turnover, 8-room procedural IR unit
    • Level I trauma hospital
    • Patient population includes outpatient and critically ill inpatients, including emergent trauma and stroke cases
    • Procedures include embolizations (neuro and body), drain placements/exchanges, central line placements, Y90 planning and implant, among others
    • Typical procedure team: 1 RN and 1-2 Radiology Techs per room
  • Patient Ratio: 1:2
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Equipment: Siemens
  • Scrubs Provided
  • Floating: No floating required

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • Certifications:
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Additional Information

  • Parking: Travelers must park in shuttle lot except when on-call
  • Facility Specific Training: New employee orientation modules must be completed within the first two weeks of assignment
  • No floating between units required
  • Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

This position is ideal for experienced Interventional Radiology Technologists seeking a challenging role in a Level I trauma center with a structured schedule and on-call responsibilities.
