Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Celina, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Workweek: 40 hours

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Texas (TMB-MRT)
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport)
• I9 or Attestation form
• E-Verify or Attestation form
• Background checks within 30 days of start, including:

  • 7-year county criminal background check for all locations lived/worked
  • Sex offender search
  • State police investigation (if applicable)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Drug test (10-panel) within 30 days of start (no rapid screens)
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation (updated annually)
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) vaccine required
  • Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months; chest X-ray if positive history
  • Annual TB questionnaire if applicable
  • Hepatitis B: vaccine series and positive titer OR signed facility-specific declination form
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): positive titers or documentation of 2 vaccines; boosters if titers low/equivocal
  • Varicella: positive titers or documentation of 2 vaccines; boosters if titers low/equivocal
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Photo for badge (passport style, head and shoulders, clear background)
• Signed job description prior to start
• Two professional references within 3 years

Competency & Testing Requirements

• Pass/Fail Testing:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80%, two attempts allowed)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (two attempts allowed)
• Candidates provided study guides for Medication and EKG exams
• Exams must be completed within 30 days of start
• Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing required (only two attempts allowed for each exam)

Additional Notes

• On-call schedule: one week on call, one week off call
• Local rate available within 90 miles of facility (pay details excluded)
