Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Travel/Contract)

Position Details

• Level 1 experience highly preferred
• Epic system experience required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technician license in Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technician experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient hospital setting
• X-Ray Technician experience
• Experience with Epic system

Compliance and Documentation

• I9 verification and E-Verify compliance required
• Fingerprinting and Virginia State Police National Criminal Background Check required for certain units; proof of submission must be on file prior to start
• Central Registry Search (CPS) required for candidates working in pediatrics, NICU, behavioral health, labor and delivery, and certain facilities; must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• HIPAA confidentiality agreement acknowledgment required prior to start
• Completion of orientation modules and competency exams during orientation (including pharmacology exam, point of care testing, mask fitting, and unit-specific assessments)
• Annual skills checklist and abuse reporting competency required
• Color blindness testing required

Additional Information

• Candidates must bring a mask (cloth acceptable), non-wireless headphones, and a laptop or cell phone to orientation (note if unable to bring)

Summary

This travel contract position for an X-Ray Tech in Radiology/Cardiology requires a minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient hospital experience, with preference for 2 years and Level 1 experience. Candidates must hold a permanent Virginia state license and have current ACLS and BLS certifications. Compliance with extensive background checks, immunizations, drug testing, and orientation requirements is mandatory. The role is a day shift, 40 hours per week, for a 13-week contract in Richmond, VA.
