Medical Surgical Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Waynesboro, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7a-7p), including weekends and holidays as needed
• Floating required: May be asked to float to other Medical Surgical (MS) or rehab units
• Patient population: Adult inpatients and outpatients with medical, surgical, telemetry, swing bed, and overflow care needs
• Unit operates 24/7

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

• Maximum return-to-office (RTO) time: 5 days
• No call requirements
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
• May care for COVID-19 patients
• New hire orientation and online learning modules required, to be completed by start date
• Must comply with all state-specific requirements for Pennsylvania, including fingerprinting and child abuse clearance, with results on file within 45 days of assignment start or risk removal from floor

Shift Details

• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week

• Candidates will be clinically screened and interviewed by the manager before final approval
• Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs
• Facility requires all health documents to include two identifiers (e.g., full name, DOB, or SSN)
• Fingerprinting results may be pending at start but must be finalized within 45 days
• Facility enforces strict documentation and compliance policies for all hires

This position is ideal for experienced Medical Surgical RNs comfortable with telemetry patients and flexible scheduling including weekends, holidays, and floating assignments.
