Registered Nurse (MS/Tele) - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Massena, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week (12 hours each, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Details

• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (EOW)
• Unit does not accept first-time travelers
• Local candidates accepted only if residing more than 50 miles away
• Patient Diagnoses commonly encountered: COPD, Pneumonia, Non-specific abdominal pain, Cellulitis, Chest pain rule out
• Nurse-to-patient ratios:

  • Days: 1:6
  • Nights: 1:7
  • Weekends: 1:8
• Electronic Health Record system: Epic (required)
• Scrubs: Any nursing uniform color allowed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• One completed travel nursing assignment
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Proficient in management of dysrhythmias
• Experience using Rapid Response and Code teams
• Skilled in High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management
• Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record system
