Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Celina, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Call Requirement: 21 days of call within a 6-week period
• Work within 90 miles of the facility

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• Licensure:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
  • ARRT-R (Registered Radiologic Technologist - Radiography) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) required
  • Texas Medical Board MRT (Medical Radiologic Technologist) state licensure required if holding ARRT-R (not required if holding RCIS)

Certifications & Exams

• Pass/Fail Testing:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80%, two attempts allowed)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (two attempts allowed)
• Candidates will receive study guides for Medication and EKG exams
• ACLS and BLS must be current and from AHA or ARC (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing required

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold only) within 12 months; annual updates required
• Tdap vaccination required
• Hepatitis B: Proof of vaccine series and positive titer OR signed facility-specific declination form
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): Positive titers or documentation of 2 vaccines; boosters required if titers are low/equivocal
• Varicella: Positive titers or documentation of 2 vaccines; boosters required if titers are low/equivocal
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (rapid screens not accepted)

Background & Documentation Requirements

• 7-year background check including county criminal search for all locations lived/worked in last 7 years
• Sex offender search and state police investigation (if applicable)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• I9 or attestation required
• Valid government-issued photo ID or passport (name must match all documentation)
• Passport acceptable in lieu of driver’s license or state ID
• Photo for badge (passport style, head and shoulders, clear background) required
• Two professional references within 3 years of hire required

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific forms including job description acknowledgment and vaccine exemption forms (if applicable)
• Fit test for mask (completed onsite during orientation or prior with approved mask)
• Competency exams must be completed within 30 days of start
• Candidates allowed two attempts for competency exams; a third attempt may be allowed with client approval
