Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Emergency Room (ER)
• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Contract Length: Approximately 20 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Visits per Day: Approximately 35 patients
• Rooms/Beds: 8 rooms, 10 beds
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care
• Total Staffed Beds: 68
• Charting System: EPIC (experience required)

Job Description

• Adult service with responsibility to stabilize pediatric patients and transfer as needed
• Primary care Emergency Department (no trauma cases)
• Floating within scope to ICU and Medical-Surgical areas as needed
• First-time travel nurses accepted
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• No on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
