Description
Job Opportunity: CT Technologist
Location: Salem, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Duration: 15 weeks (approximately 15 weeks)
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Description
- Participate in imaging technology tasks, performing diagnostic quality CT procedures safely and according to ARRT guidelines.
- Outpatient-focused position.
- Unit staffed with 3 technologists at all times; 24/7 transport team available.
- Must have experience with GE and Toshiba/Canon CT machines.
- IV skills and outpatient experience required.
- EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Oregon.
- Registered with OBMI or ARRT.
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
- Experience in an outpatient setting.
- Proficient IV skills.
- Experience with GE Healthcare CT equipment.
Required Documents & Compliance
- Clear copy of valid driver’s license, passport, or state ID.
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start (7-year search, including all aliases and states/counties).
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter.
- Physical exam within one year of start (can start with physical pending).
- Drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year of start (not required for CT techs).
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (or facility-specific declination)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (antibody titer or vaccines)
- Hepatitis B (titer, 3-dose series, or declination)
- Varicella (antibody titer or vaccines)
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or signed declination (year-round)
- Badge photo with white background required at least 8 days prior to start.
- Completion of required HealthStream modules by due date.
- Competency exams with passing scores as required.
Additional Information
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
- Must be able to pass competency exams related to CT technology.
- Fit testing for masks will be completed onsite within the first week of starting.
- References: Two references within the last 2 years showing 1 year in a comparable specialty; at least one must be supervisory within the last 12 months.
This position offers a focused outpatient CT technologist role requiring specific machine experience, appropriate licensure, and certifications, with a night shift schedule over a 15-week travel contract.
