Registered Nurse - Home Health

Location: Saco, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 10 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 (guaranteed)
Shift: Primarily 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Weekend schedule varies based on agency needs:

  • Every other weekend rotation with a weekday off, or
  • Tuesday–Saturday with Sunday and Monday off, or
  • Sunday–Thursday with Friday and Saturday off
• No overnight call; callback required 2-4 times per month between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM if needed

Job Description

• Provide home health nursing care within York County territory (assigned after offer)
• Manage a caseload of 20-25 patients with an expectation of 5-6 visits per day
• May be reassigned as a revisitor based on agency needs during the contract
• Patient population includes adults with medical-surgical, oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary conditions

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Minimum 2 years of Home Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
• Experience with OASIS documentation system

Equipment & Technology

• Agency laptop and iPhone provided with necessary accessories
• Nursing supply bin and bag including vital signs equipment and INR machine
• Electronic Medical Record system: Epic

Work Environment & Culture

• Open to feedback for improving practice and workflow
• Dress code: business casual or scrubs (any color)
• Unacceptable attire: jeans, open-toed shoes, or clothing with holes

• Call back notification by 5:00 PM on the day of potential extra visit; if no visit scheduled by then, no call required
