Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Location: Alexandria Bay, New York
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide immediate, specialized emergency care as part of a multidisciplinary emergency medical service team.
• Assess and stabilize patients in the emergency room.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families.
• Deliver patient-centered care using advanced clinical knowledge and skills.
• Work three 12-hour night shifts weekly (6pm-6am).
• Use EMR system: Meditech Expanse.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
• Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS.

Working Conditions

• Exposure risk category: OSHA Category A (potential exposure to blood and infectious body substances).
• Shifts include day, evening, night, and weekends (this position is night shifts).
