Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Shift: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (12:00 PM to 10:30 PM)
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week
  • Block scheduling accommodations available
  • No on-call required
  • No floating within or to sister facilities

  • Total staffed beds: 228

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required

Required Licenses and Certifications

  • State license: Washington D.C. license only, primary source verification required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification as required
  • Other certifications as applicable per unit description (verify with employer)

Required Documentation and Compliance

  • Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during work hours)
  • Proof of E-Verify or attestation
  • Background check: 7-year criminal history, nationwide, sex offender, FACIS level 3, education verification, and international searches as applicable; must be completed within one year prior to start
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • Employment application/resume including licensure, certifications, education, and employment history
  • Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
  • Physical exam completed by a physician, updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
  • Fit mask testing within one year of start, updated annually (not required for non-patient facing roles)
  • Drug screening: 9-panel within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
    • Rubeola (Measles): titer or 2 vaccines, booster if low/equivocal titer; no declinations allowed
    • Mumps: titer or 2 vaccines, booster if low/equivocal titer; no declinations allowed
    • Rubella: titer or 2 vaccines, booster if low/equivocal titer; no declinations allowed
    • Varicella: titer or 2 vaccines, booster if low/equivocal titer; declinations accepted only for medical/religious reasons
    • Hepatitis B: titer, vaccine series, or declination form required
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or titer required; declination accepted with form
    • Flu vaccine required during flu season (9/16 to 4/30), with medical/religious exemptions subject to approval
    • COVID-19 vaccination required prior to start; booster preferred but not required; medical/religious exemptions subject to approval
  • Eye exam including vision acuity
  • Color blind exam (mandatory, online exam not acceptable)
  • CBC and Biochemical panel required prior to start for Radiology unit staff
  • Completion of facility-specific forms including crisis, security, employee health, and vaccine declination forms as applicable

  • Parking is the employee’s responsibility; options include street meters and hospital parking passes
  • Public transportation access available nearby
  • Locals accepted (same metropolitan area)
