Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Greer, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- One Saturday per month required
- Call: 24 hours per month (typically one day)
- Weekend coverage: Every third weekend (may vary based on need)
Unit & Equipment
- Medication system: Omnicell
- Required to wear hunter green scrubs
- 1 year of EPIC experience required
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT CT certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience with Epic system
Required Documents & Compliance
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID (required immediately upon signing)
- Background check: 7-year history within 12 months of start, including alias and multi-state searches
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks updated every 30 days during assignment
- Education verification of highest level completed (diplomas not accepted as placeholders)
- State license primary source verification within 30 days of start
- NURSYS verification for RN licenses (must authorize work in SC)
- Photo for badge (passport-style, light background, no obstructions)
- Contractor Acknowledgment signed within 24 hours of contract signing (expires annually)
- Completion of online Cornerstone modules within 72 hours of assignment (approx. 12 hours)
- Floating Policy signed (clinical candidates only; expires annually)
- Internal Evaluation and Performance Evaluation if applicable (for candidates with over 1 year with agency)

Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands
- Respirator Fit Test completed onsite during orientation (N95 masks commonly used)
- Immunizations/vaccinations or proof of immunity for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for high-risk areas)
- TB screening (True 2-step PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or Tspot within 90 days)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination
- Varicella (chickenpox) immunity (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
- Seasonal Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (not required for remote workers)
- Drug screening within 1 year and updated annually (5-panel minimum)
Competency & Training Requirements
- Annual medication/pharmacology competency exam
- Annual Core Parts I, II, and III training (including universal precautions, cultural diversity, pain management, harassment, fire safety, OSHA blood-borne pathogens, age-specific care, and TJC National Patient Safety Goals)
- Color blindness testing for applicable roles (e.g., Emergency Department nurses)
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required but first-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience
- Call requirement is minimal (24 hours/month)
- Candidate must carry valid ID while on duty
- Candidates must complete all required testing and modules prior to start; failure to pass required exams results in cancellation
- Online modules replace traditional didactic orientation, allowing for focused clinical orientation onsite
This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with strong EPIC system knowledge, who are comfortable with a travel contract and meet the comprehensive certification and compliance requirements.
