Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical ICU (MICU) - Nights

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Straight nights)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)

Job Description

• 36-hour shifts, working every other holiday (EOH) and every other weekend (EOW)
• Requires 1+ years of prior travel nursing experience
• Specialty: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 3 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• At least 1 year of travel nursing or agency experience

Health and Safety Requirements

• N95 Respirator Fit Test within 365 days prior to start, updated annually (no exemptions allowed)
• Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) attestation required if fit test is required
• Tuberculosis (TB) test documentation within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity documentation or vaccination required
• Physician health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if break >6 months
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred
• Tdap vaccination within 10 years preferred

Background and Compliance Checks

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months
• Social Security Number (SSN) trace covering last 7 years
• National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid lists within 30 days prior to start, updated annually

Documentation and Testing Required for Submission

• Resume including last 7 years of work experience with city and state
• Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor-level reference in the relevant skillset
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
• Candidate submission coversheet (current version)
• Confirmation of assignment/point of interest form upon acceptance and for extensions

Additional Notes

• No onsite fit testing available; must be completed prior to start
• Updates to health and background documentation required if assignment is extended or if there is a break in service
• Positive TB test requires negative chest x-ray documentation (optional but recommended)
• Name change documentation required if legal name differs from credential documentation
