Operating Room Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Stillwater, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8.5 hours per day (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Late day shift until 7:00 PM on rotation 1-2 times per week
• Call coverage currently handled but may be possible in the future
• Minimal Return to Office (RTO) accepted (less than 5 days)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• E-Verify or Attestation documentation
• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, including SS Trace, Counties, Nationwide, Sex Offender, FACIS Level 3
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• NURSYS verification for RN license
• Education verification and diploma/transcript as applicable
• Professional references: 2 required within 3 years of start
• Employment application and annual skills checklist

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Cocaine, Opiates, Oxycodone, Marijuana (THC), Methadone, Fentanyl)
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination acceptable)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B: positive titer, 3-dose vaccine series, or declination required
  • Varicella: positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted)
• Negative TB test (2-step PPD, T-spot, or Q-Gold) within 12 months or chest X-ray if positive
• Annual TB questionnaire completion
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved declination form required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
• COVID vaccination or approved declination form required

Orientation & Training

• Completion of HealthStream modules prior to start (2-3 hours; must be completed by Friday afternoon before Monday start)
• Review and sign Commitment to Excellence Standards and Staff Orientation materials prior to start
• Photo for badge (passport-style with solid background) required
• Fit mask test and color blind exam completed onsite during orientation

• Candidate must complete confidentiality and information security agreements prior to start
• Flu and COVID declination forms have religious/philosophical and medical waiver options; medical waivers require licensed provider documentation
