Registered Nurse Radiation Oncology - Contract Opportunity

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week, weekdays (36 hours/week)


Job Summary

Join a leading cancer treatment center specializing in advanced radiation oncology care. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to oncology patients using cutting-edge technologies and treatment protocols. The position requires adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 2 years of oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy certification

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced clinic environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Coordination of oncology patient care with interdisciplinary staff
  • Highly organized and flexible
  • Knowledge of care for patients across various age groups, developmental stages, and cultural backgrounds
  • Understanding of chronic illness and comorbidity management
  • Up-to-date knowledge of hematology/oncology trends, procedures, and protocols
  • Familiarity with evidence-based oncology, immunology, pharmacology, community health, and cultural sensitivity

  • Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the facility (radius rule)
