Description

Physical Therapist (PT) - LTAC / Acute Care

Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel / Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)


Job Description

  • Provide physical therapy services in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) and acute care setting.
  • Must be comfortable working in an LTAC facility environment.
  • Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs; mileage reimbursement provided.
  • No on-call required.
  • Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted.
  • Pending state license accepted but must be obtained prior to starting.
  • Attendance policy: Missing more than two shifts without reasonable explanation during the 13-week contract may lead to contract review and possible cancellation.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in South Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required Documentation

  • Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID).
  • Social Security card (if used for I-9 verification).
  • Proof of E-Verify or attestation.
  • Education transcripts or diploma from highest level of education.
  • Background checks including criminal history, sex offender registry, education verification, and employment references.
  • Facility-specific documents including photo for badge and compliance checklists.
  • Physical exam and immunization records.
  • Drug test results.
  • TB risk assessment and symptom evaluation form.

Additional Information

  • Orientation includes pass/fail testing for medication and EKG competency (not required for PT but applies to RNs).
  • Facility enforces an attendance policy for travelers.
  • All required documents and clearances must be submitted prior to start date.
  • No block scheduling available.

Experience

  • No explicit years of experience stated; standard PT licensure and competency expected.
  • Prior travel experience is not required.
