Description
Cath Lab Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Newnan, Georgia
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Schedule & Work Details
- Work schedule: 6 weeks of 4/10 hour days (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), followed by 1 week of 5/8 hour days (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), then back to 4/10s.
- Every 6 weeks, you get a 4-day weekend.
- Weekend shifts included as part of call requirements.
- Call requirement: 12-14 days per 6-week period, including 1-2 weekends. Must remain within 30 minutes of the facility while on call.
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed.
- Holidays: If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it; if 2, expected to work both; if 3, expected to work 2 of them. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year.
Compliance & Screening
- Full compliance with all credentialing and documentation required to start on time; delays in compliance may push start date by 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling.
- Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit before final approval.
- Maximum Return to Office (RTO) time: 7 days.
Required Documentation & Health Requirements
- Valid photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Background check completed within 30 days prior to start, including education verification and criminal history.
- Education verification required; diplomas/transcripts may be requested.
- Physical exam within 12 months of start date.
- Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSpot) within 12 months; if positive history, additional documentation required. TB questionnaire required annually.
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or proof of immunity:
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap highly recommended)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31).
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start; instant drug screen acceptable.
References & Work History
- Two clinical references required.
- Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof of processing (due within 30 days post start).
- Skills checklist updated within the last 12 months required.
Additional Notes
- Locals are accepted at the same rate.
- Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment).
- Candidates must review and sign facility-specific policies including Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start.
