CT Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Shift: Night (7p-7a), 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: Midnights with rotating weekends
• Patient population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Unit size: 8 rooms
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
• Position is a backfill for a current staff member changing shifts

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT CT certification required
• Experience with GE, PACS, and Siemens imaging systems
• First-time travelers and local candidates are welcome

Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT CT certification
• AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (no certificates of completion; must have current card)
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (no certificates of completion; must have current card)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) certifications as applicable
• State license verification required (primary source online verification)
• National tech certification verification as applicable

Compliance & Background Checks

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) required
• E-Verify or attestation required
• 7-year background check within 30 days of start, renewed annually (includes all counties lived/worked, sex offender, nationwide)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required prior to start and updated annually

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (N95 masks accepted; renewal annually)
• Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 1 year; if past positive, clear chest X-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant drug screens not accepted)
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (11/1–3/31); no exemptions allowed

Orientation & Facility Requirements

• Pass/fail EKG and medication competency testing required for Telemetry, PACU, and ICU units (including CVICU)
• Candidates must complete facility-specific orientation paperwork within 3 weeks of start date
• Facility-specific confidentiality, code of conduct, conflict of interest, sexual harassment, and misconduct policy attestations required before start
• Facility uses a new ID management system requiring multiple forms of ID upload before assignment start
• Badge and pager return policies apply at assignment end to avoid fees

References & Employment History

• Two recent verified professional references required (must be from managers or supervisors; charge RN references not accepted)
• Employment application required

• Prior travel experience is not required
• Locals and first-time travelers are eligible to apply
• Experience with specific imaging equipment (GE, PACS, Siemens) is important for this role
