Description

Pediatric Acute RN - Contract Position

Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide nursing care independently for patients of all ages, following physician orders, standards of care, nursing policies, and hospital procedures.
Support patients and their families through various nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments.
Work day shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM, 7 shifts per pay period (36 hours per week).
Orientation sessions occur every 2 weeks.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 3 years of Pediatric Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Pediatric experience
Current certifications (must be maintained throughout employment):
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association

Housing

Limited housing options available.
Shared housing units at $600 per month, based on availability.
No family members or pets allowed in housing.

Additional Information

COVID and flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted after submission of a declination form.
Housing application must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to start date.

Community & Facility Overview

Located in a culturally rich, diverse community serving Navajo, Hopi, Southern Paiute, Anglo, Hispanic, and African American populations.
Facility serves a large rural area with comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services and various specialty services including surgery, dental, ophthalmology, orthopedics, OB/GYN, and urology.
The nursing team includes RNs, LPNs, nursing assistants, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, CRNAs, and community health medics.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in the specialty (Pediatric Acute Care).
