Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, Monday to Thursday, 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM (4x10 hour shifts)
Daily Patient Census: Approximately 125 patients

Job Description

• Position requires working at a Level 1 facility.
• Floating between two campus locations may be required.
• Attendance policy: Missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may lead to contract review and possible cancellation.
• Locals within 75 miles are not accepted.
• Pending state license holders may start but must obtain full license prior to starting.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
• CT Technologist experience within the last year.
• ARRT (CT) certification required.

Certifications & Competencies

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or RQI acceptable).
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required.
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required within 1 year of start and updated annually.
• Facility-specific pass/fail testing on cardiac arrhythmia and medication calculations on first day of orientation (two attempts allowed).

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• Education verification required (highest level of education must be associate degree or higher; certificates alone are not sufficient).
• E-Verify proof required.
• Social Security Card required if used for I-9 verification.
• Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service.
• South Carolina SLED criminal records search required regardless of residency history.
• Employment application required.
• Skills checklist must be updated annually.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start.
• Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (vaccination series, positive titer, or signed declination)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 – Mar 31).
• COVID-19 vaccination (dose 1 and 2) required or declination form.
• Drug screening within 90 days of start (10 panel including Oxycodone and Marijuana).

Additional Notes

• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with initial application; late requests will not be considered.
• Guaranteed hours based on signed contract.
• Facility-specific documents and photo for badge required.
• No block scheduling accommodations.
• No local hires accepted.

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with at least 2 years of experience seeking a travel contract in a high-volume, Level 1 facility working night shifts.
