Description

Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer

Location: Portland, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36-40 hours (10-hour shifts)
Schedule:

Rotating day shifts including rotating weekends
Overnight call 5:00 pm to 6:30 am, 2-3 nights per month (with strict guidelines and cardiologist approval)

Job Details

Perform 7-8 echocardiograms per day
Work in a high-volume, acute inpatient trauma level 1 facility environment
Maintain strict adherence to lab standards and protocols to ensure diagnostic accuracy
Collaborate with sonographers, cardiologists, and fellows through case reviews, feedback sessions, and educational opportunities

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as an Echo-Vascular Technician, including experience within the last year
Experience in an inpatient setting
Adult echocardiography experience
Adherence to ASE (American Society of Echocardiography) standards

Additional Information

Overnight call requires cardiologist approval before being called in
Position involves working in a critical care environment with a focus on maintaining superior diagnostic quality
