Description
Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer
Location: Portland, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36-40 hours (10-hour shifts)
Schedule:
- Rotating day shifts including rotating weekends
- Overnight call 5:00 pm to 6:30 am, 2-3 nights per month (with strict guidelines and cardiologist approval)
Job Details
- Perform 7-8 echocardiograms per day
- Work in a high-volume, acute inpatient trauma level 1 facility environment
- Maintain strict adherence to lab standards and protocols to ensure diagnostic accuracy
- Collaborate with sonographers, cardiologists, and fellows through case reviews, feedback sessions, and educational opportunities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Echo-Vascular Technician, including experience within the last year
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- Adult echocardiography experience
- Adherence to ASE (American Society of Echocardiography) standards
Additional Information
- Overnight call requires cardiologist approval before being called in
- Position involves working in a critical care environment with a focus on maintaining superior diagnostic quality
