Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for one 10-hour shift every 2 weeks)
• On-Call: Required, 2-3 nights per week
• Weekend Work: Required
• Floating: Clinician should expect to float within scope to assist with staffing needs at a nearby medical center
• Locals: Not accepted; candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• Setting: Low volume; 10-bed LTACH/ICU and 46-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility
• Equipment: CT (GE 16 slice scanner), X-ray (Siemens portable and GE C-arm for MBS studies)
• Charting System: Epic
• Parking: Free

Required Qualifications

• CT Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT (R) certification
• ARRT (CT) certification

Requirements & Compliance

• Background Checks: Must have a background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; updated annually
• Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
  • Fit mask test (annual, travel only)
  • Immunizations/vaccinations including TDAP (within 10 years), MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu seasonal vaccine (declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
  • Respiratory safety clearance (annual for travel)
• References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
• Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates worked
• Skills Checklist: Required and must be updated annually

Scheduling & Time Off

• Time off requests approved on an individual basis; only 1 time off request allowed per 13-week assignment
• Open to accommodating block schedules

Additional Notes

• Floating Policy: Acknowledgement required; may float to other nearby facilities within reasonable distance
• Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required
• Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology competency exam and other competency exams as applicable
• Training Modules: Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules required via LMS system
• Work History Verification: Required if requesting exceptions to reference requirements
